Since its founding in 2000, the International Austrian-Turkish Press Association in Vienna has been a vocal platform for press freedom and freedom of expression in the international media, with a strong focus on Austria and Turkey. We are a network of more than 900 journalists from Austria, Turkey and other countries, who want only one thing: the freedom to practice their profession without any direct or indirect pressure. There is no democracy without free journalism, so we demand journalism and freedom everywhere.
The International Austrian-Turkish Press Association in Vienna has been organising background talks and press conferences since 2000. We are always at the disposal of our members to solve professional problems, if necessary with the help of our international lawyers. The Association supports journalists, professionals and managers, academics and students for press freedom. The association seeks cooperation with other press associations, media and organisations at home and abroad.
